BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF LITERATURE ON STUDENTS’ ATTITUDE, ANXIETY AND THEIR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS IN STATISTICS: CONTENT ANALYSIS

Abstract

Statistics plays a pivotal role in the field of researches conducted in social sciences. Therefore, Statistics is taught specifically to students at higher secondary level and they are prepared for conducting research studies in social sciences in future. Students are reluctant to study Statistics because of its difficulty. They develop a unique attitude and suffering from anxiety about Statistics. Therefore, students’ attitude and anxiety also play a dynamic role in their academic achievement. The basic aim of this study was to analyze the contents related to students’ attitude, anxiety and their academic achievement in Statistics at higher secondary level. Numerous research studies have been conducted on this important topic at international level but there is acute shortage of scholarly literature in Pakistan especially at the north-west part of the country-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
